Information We Receive
Information can reach us in several ordinary ways:
- Search terms entered into a search widget may be sent to the third-party provider that powers that tool.
- A message sent through a contact channel may include a name, email address, phone number, message text, and attachments the sender chooses to provide.
- Web servers and security systems may record an IP address, browser type, device details, referring page, time of access, and general technical information.
- Cookies or similar technologies may remember settings, measure use, or support advertising and analytics.
Please avoid sending sensitive personal details in a message unless they are needed to explain a technical issue. Official Greene County jail, booking, court, sheriff, police, GDC, BOP, and ICE records are not stored in a private site account here.
How Information Is Used
Information may be used to:
- Keep pages, navigation, and the search tools working.
- Route a search request to the provider selected for that tool.
- Reply to a question or troubleshoot a message.
- Understand which pages are useful and find broken links or technical faults.
- Measure traffic and show advertising that may reflect general interests.
Search tools do not give this private resource control over the records returned by a provider. For the official record, use the responsible Greene County agency or court, including the Greene County Clerk and Sheriff Donnie Harrison’s Sheriff’s Office.
Cookies and Similar Tools
Cookies may help remember a setting, understand how visitors use the pages, or support a search or advertising service. Browser controls can block or delete cookies. Some features may work differently when cookies or related technologies are disabled.
Analytics and advertising providers may use their own cookies or identifiers under their own policies. Their systems are not controlled by this notice.
Links to Other Sources
Pages may link to official sources such as the Greene County open-records page, the Greensboro Police Department, the Georgia Department of Corrections, courts, newspapers, and other resources. Once a visitor leaves these pages, the destination’s privacy notice, terms, cookies, and data practices apply.
Advertising or search partners may track activity across sites on their own systems. A link does not mean that Greene County Busted Mugshots controls, endorses, or guarantees the outside service.
Who May Receive Information
We do not sell personal data as a standalone mailing list. Depending on the feature used, information may be handled by:
- Search partners that process a query submitted to their tool.
- Analytics providers that help measure page use.
- Advertising networks and their service vendors.
- Hosting, security, and technical service providers.
- Law-enforcement or government bodies when disclosure is required by a valid legal order or applicable law.
A contact message may be retained as needed to answer the question, maintain security, or document a request.
Security Practices
Reasonable administrative and technical steps are used to protect information handled through the pages. No internet-connected system is completely secure, and no promise can be made that a system will be breach-proof or free of every vulnerability. Avoid sending information that does not need to be shared.
If a security concern is reported through the Contacts page, include enough detail to locate the issue without exposing another person’s private information.
Visitors Under 18
The resource is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent personal information, a parent or guardian may use the contact route to ask that it be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on the information and applicable law, a person may ask to:
- Receive a copy of personal data held in a retrievable form.
- Correct inaccurate contact information.
- Ask that information be deleted when there is no reason to retain it.
- Opt out of certain optional analytics or advertising processing.
- Ask how a search query or contact message was handled.
Send a clear request through Contacts. Identity may need to be verified before a request is fulfilled, and legal, security, recordkeeping, or technical limits may apply.
Changes to This Notice
This Privacy Notice may be revised when the services, law, or data practices change. A revised version will be posted here with a new effective date or other clear update marker. Continued use after a revision means the updated notice applies to future use of the pages.
