What This Contact Page Does
A booking question can involve several offices. The Greene County Sheriff’s Office handles county detention and booking records. Greensboro Police may hold a municipal incident or arrest report. The court clerk holds the filed case and disposition. The Georgia Department of Corrections handles a later state-custody record. Federal and immigration locators are separate systems.
Greene County Sheriff’s Office
County custody and booking records
Sheriff Donnie Harrison
Greene County Sheriff’s Office
1201 Kevin Roberts Way
Greensboro, GA 30642
706-453-3351
Jail information is listed at extension 371. The main line is the researched non-emergency and records starting point.
Use the sheriff for a current-custody question, booking sheet, intake or release record, and a request for a booking or identification photograph if it is lawfully releasable. The sheriff’s contact directory should be checked before mailing a form. No fixed public booking-photo fee, records email, or visiting hours were verified. Call first.
The sheriff’s downloadable request form asks for requester information, incident location, officer, date or time range, and signature. Describe the record narrowly and ask for an advance itemized estimate.

Municipal incident and arrest records
1141 Siloam Road
Greensboro, GA 30642

Confirm the current records process, fee estimate, and hours directly with GPD.
When Greensboro Police makes the arrest, request the incident, arrest, or department record from GPD. If the person enters county detention, request the sheriff’s booking packet separately. The city did not have a verified public daily arrest log or photo-bearing blotter in the research.
Union Point is sheriff-policed under the documented city agreement. Woodville has no verified municipal arrest log or independent police records form. For either town, identify the responding agency before choosing a custodian.
County Open-Records Routing
The Greene County open-records page is useful for procedure, but it expressly says the Board of Commissioners does not maintain Sheriff’s Department or court records. Do not assume a general county request reached the sheriff or clerk.
- Name the agency that created or holds the record.
- Provide the person’s full name, approximate date, location, and case or booking number if known.
- Specify whether the request seeks an incident report, booking sheet, release information, photograph, or court record.
- Ask for an electronic copy, an estimate, a timetable, and the statutory basis for any withholding or redaction.
Georgia’s Open Records Act generally provides a three-business-day response framework, but that is not a promise that every requested field is public or that a complex record will arrive in three days.
Courts and Disposition
For what happened after booking, start with the Greene County Clerk of Superior Court and the statewide Georgia court-search entry point. Match the county, court, filing date, and case number. A booking charge can be amended, reduced, dismissed, or resolved by plea, so the court disposition is the appropriate endpoint.
A clerk or court office can explain its own search, certified-copy, and access rules. Those fees and hours were not verified here. Ask before visiting.
State, Federal, and ICE Channels
Use the GDC Find an Offender search for a person who may be in Georgia state correctional custody. GDC profiles can display a photograph when available. GDC is not a county booking feed. Formal state records requests are handled through GDC’s own process.
For federal custody, use the Bureau of Prisons locator. It does not provide a public inmate photograph field. For immigration detention, use the ICE Online Detainee Locator under its identity and country-of-birth rules. These systems cannot confirm a Greene County jail event or court result.
Emergencies and Corrections
Use 911 for an emergency. The Greene County E-911 page explains local dispatch roles, but it is not a records search tool.
For a mistaken identity, stale status, or missing disposition, gather the official case number and contact the responsible agency or court. A private reference page cannot alter a sheriff, police, clerk, GDC, BOP, or ICE record.
